Execution steps
- 01Launch the full-screen Contrast Test.
- 02Inspect the Dark Level section: You should be able to distinguish square block #1, #2, and #3 from the true black (#000000) background.
- 03Inspect the White Level section: You should be able to distinguish square block #252, #253, and #254 from pure white (#FFFFFF).
- 04Adjust monitor OSD Brightness and Contrast until shadow blocks are visible without crushing black.
Diagnostic symptoms
- Crushed Black: Dark blocks 1-5 blending into background black.
- Clipped White: Highlight blocks 250-254 blending into white background.
